The You Cut Program is a Success

The You Cut Program put into action by House Republican Whip Eric Cantor is a huge success.

Now we need you!

This week they reached the 1,000,000th vote from citizens across the nation demanding reduction in government spending. Each week we are given five proposals to vote on and then the Republicans in the House vote on which proposal they will present in a bill for spending cuts.

If you have not signed up for the You Cut Program, please add your vote and voice to this call to reduce government spending.  Chet Edwards (D-TX17) so far has voted “No Cut” which translates to “continue wasteful spending.” Follow each of these links to see videos that accompany each idea and to see how members of Congress voted.

The videos highlight the stars of the conservative movement in Congress and give a glimpse of the activity we are NOT seeing on the nightly news.

  1. Week One: Cut the New Non-Reformed Welfare Program ($2.5 Billion Savings)
  2. Week Two: Eliminate Federal Employee Pay Raise ($30 Billion Savings) (this video is very illuminating as to House procedure in shutting off debate along with the mental capacity of  Congressmen)
  3. Week Three: Reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ($30 Billion Savings)
  4. Week Four: Sell Excess Federal Property ($15 Billion Savings)
  5. Week Five: Prohibit Hiring New IRS Agents to Enforce Health Care Law ($15 Billion Savings)
  6. Week Six: Taxpayer Subsidized Union Activities ($1.2 Billion Savings)
  7. Week Seven: Prohibit Stimulus Funding for Promotional Signage (Tens of Millions)

Our power is our voice and our vote. Sign up for the You Cut Program and vote in the upcoming weeks until the election and end of the 112th Congress.

Be engaged and cast your vote at the You Cut Program each day of the continuing week. Spread the news to family and friends.

Every conservative needs to participate in The You Cut Program!

A few ideas: Close offshore tax havens ($100 billion in extra revenues), end all no bid contracts ($40 billion in savings), End the drug war ($14 billion in savings), and we could save billions by cutting the military budget and ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Teddy, these are all ideas that you can send in to the You Cut Program. That’s what’s so beautiful about the You Cut Program, we are the source of ideas of programs to cut.

I would love for the wars to be over, but while we have our guys and gals serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, I want them to have everything they need. President Obama said he was going to end the war, why hasn’t he?

I say, let’s make America a tax haven for investors. Lower taxes bring in higher revenue. Let’s bring all that money home and invest in research, industry, and job creation. Building a low tax nation promotes freedom, liberty and incredible growth. Increased revenue brings in increased revenue to the treasury. Stop trying to control everybody’s personal lives with the tax code and look out for a tsunami of prosperity. Let people be free and unique individuals, with the ability to choose for themselves the charities they would support.

However, the Democrats in Congress are ignoring all these opportunities as typified by the You Cut Program to cut truly wasteful spending. What’s up with that? Signs for work projects that don’t exist?? Wasteful spending knows no party or side of the aisle, it simply requires men capable of swearing to the truth, even to their own hurt.

Still waiting for your defense of individual liberty or do you believe (as in your comment) that illegal drugs are the only method of typifying liberty. grin! Say, it ain’t so, Teddy!

  3. John Roane says:

We should consider cutting the Post Office back to what it was supposed to be.

First class mail and small PP only. Mail delivery only four days per week Wed, Thru, Fri and Sat and size the number of employees accordingly. Remove the unions (we should have no unions anywhere in the Federal Government, put GPS on each Post Office vehicle and track effectiveness of each.
Next halt all advertising, drop competing with private business on next day, 2 and 3 Day delivery. Private business does this better anyway. Everyone knows there is a USPS they aren’t out to make profit so cut spending on ads and specialized services which they can’t do and profit from anyway. It will be staggering the money we would save each quarter. No private business could run that way. Why should the tax payer support it?

Lost jobs, all Federal jobs do not add to the wealth of the country. They only consume tax dollars and don’t generate any tax revenue. Remember their entire payroll and benefits are all ready US Tax Payer Money.

This Post Office has and continues to lose tax money
