Learn Your School Facts

One of the things the Tea Party movement has asked for is transparency and accountability and when it comes to our children. We simply want to know the facts about our local school districts and campuses. To that end, Texas Comptroller, Susan Combs has overseen the creation of FAST – Financial Allocation Study for Texas.

Here are some Quick FAST Facts for Bryan I.S.D and College Station I. S. D.

Enrollment –  BISD -15,158   —     CSISD – 9,712

Both Districts are Academically Acceptable with BISD TAKS at 69% and CSISD Taks at 87%.

Spending per student – BISD – $7,598    —    CSISD – $7,427  (students at certain campuses receive higher spending than those at other campuses) The FAST site allows for research into campus allocation of funds per student.

I encourage everyone to spend some time perusing the information readily available at FASTexas.org
