Demand a New Speaker in the Texas Legislature

If Texans are to experience the conservative ideas of our elected representatives, there must be new leadership in Austin for the 82nd Legislature.

Join in signing this petition to demand a conservative Speaker of the House rather than the current Speaker,  Joe Straus. Straus’ misguided sense of bi-partisanship allowed Democrats to hold committee chairs in spite of their minority status according to the will of the people as indicated by the 2008 election.

Thanks everyone!

Congratulations, Representative-Elect Flores!!

For the last two years, we knew that Priority One here in Texas Congressional District 17 was removing Chet Edwards from office. So, to everyone involved in making this happen, THANK YOU!!

There will be much to do for the next two years. But for now, congratulations Bill Flores, and thank you to everyone who voted, phone banked, hung door hangers, and most of all, talked to their friends and neighbors about the importance of voting against the big-government voting record of our current representative!

Former Soviet Propaganda Artist Now Humorist To Speak In B/CS

Shakedown Socialism book cover

From a man who knows of what he speaks

Oleg Atabashian was a graphic artist for The (Communist) Party in Siberia. He now lives in America and uses his propaganda talents to mock The (Democrat) Party in what he refers to as the USSA. He is coming to Bryan/College Station to promote his new book – Shakedown Socialism this Friday, October 29, 2010.

You may have seen Oleg’s work at his wildly successful blog, The People’s Cube where his free spirited use of Bolshevik iconography coupled with Korrect Facts for Progressives keeps the thought criminals happy in their work at the Gulag Factory.

Bring your kulak cash to the College Station Hastings for a book signing from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. this Friday.

Or, join the B/CS Tea Party Phone Bank Party at the WingsNMore Party Room, 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and hear a presentation by Oleg at 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. as he discusses his new life in America with the same tired failed Party that he fled in 1994.

Great fun and food along with ‘Korrect Opinions’, what more does a good Comrade need?

Joe will discuss the November is Coming effort now underway in Congressional District-17 and right here in B/CS! Free coffee and donuts will be available, and we will be passing out free T-shirts, bumper stickers, signs and more. Bring your friends and sign the November is Coming Petition. This event is open to students and non-students alike.

We are Soured On Spending and Chet Edwards (D) is claiming bragging rights to spending future generations of his constituents into debt with the Federal Government and making college tuition loans available only through your Federal Gov’t Bureacracy…party membership not yet required, but soon will be…wink.

Date: Monday, October 18

Time: 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Location:  Free Speech area in front of the Business School, TAMU Campus

Texas Conservative Coalition – Their Pledge Needs Our Support

The values of conservatism are easy to list:

  • Limited Government
  • Individual Liberty
  • Free Enterprise
  • Traditional Family Values

However, when it comes to an elected legislature actually working on solving problems confronting a city, state, or nation, we must add the problems of personalities, communication, unintended consequences, and the un-nice world of determining payment method. Soon, the issue is completely off-track by bias or miscommunication and complicated by inane discussion of personalities rather than a head-on solution to the problem we elected candidates to solve. David Horowitz, great conservative

David Horowitz, Radical SonI got to meet David Horowitz when he spoke at A&M in 1998 on his book tour for Radical Son. I’m ashamed to say there were only a handful of people there, but those who were got to hear and meet a great conservative.

Enjoy the video. He is, and all of us can be, very encouraged!
